Readout of meeting between President of General Assembly and Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India.

The Secretary congratulated the President and commended him on his leadership in steering the General Assembly to address a multitude of global challenges plaguing the world today.

The President thanked the Secretary for India’s continued support in realizing the priorities of his presidency.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
