The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, today met with H.E. Ms. Noor Qamar Sulaiman, the Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam.
Ambassador Sulaiman congratulated PGA on his successful trip to Brunei on 27-29 May as well as on the many achievements accomplished under the Presidency of Hope.
President Shahid expressed his gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Government of Brunei Darussalam to him and his delegation as well as the support of the Permanent Mission of Brunei during his visit.
He also thanked Brunei for its continued support to his priorities, including contribution to the Fellowship of HOPE.
The discussions also touched on the significant role played by Brunei as the previous Chair of the ASEAN.
The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
