Readout of meeting between the President of the General Assembly and the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues, H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, EU Special Representative (EUSR) for the Belgradem-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues as well as former President of the General Assembly for the 72^nd session.

President Shahid briefed the EUSR on the current work of the General Assembly, as well as progress achieved in implementation of the priorities of his Presidency of Hope.

They also exchanged views on the broader impact of the war in Ukraine as well as the status of the ongoing International Migration Review Forum (IMRF).

The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
