Readout of meeting between President of General Assembly and the Permanent Representative of Saint Lucia

On 25 April, the President of the 76^th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met with H.E. Ms. Menissa Marcelle Rambally, Permanent Representative of Saint Lucia.

The President congratulated Ms. Rambally on her recent appointment as Saint Lucia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

They discussed the work of Saint Lucia at the United Nations, the progress on the Multidimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI) and the role of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the work of the General Assembly, and the priorities for the remainder of the session, including the upcoming High-Level Thematic Debate on Sustainable Tourism.

The meeting took place in the President’s office at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
