Readout of the meeting between the President of the General Assembly and the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia

The President of the 76th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, met today with H.E. Mr. Luis Alberto Arce Catacora, President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. 

 The President stressed that one of his priorities was achieving universal vaccination by the end of 2022, noting that he intended to convene a high-level meeting on vaccines in January 2022. President Shahid further commented on the importance of working together towards sustainable development and ensuring that no country was left behind. 

 President Arce discussed his efforts to prevail over production and delivery hurdles to vaccinate the Bolivian population. He also called for the enhancement of South-South cooperation during the 76^th session.   

The meeting took place in the President’s office at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
