On 16 October, the Secretary-General launched the Mental Health and Well-Being Strategy. The project was developed by a collaborative multidisciplinary, multi-agency working group, under the auspices of the High Level Committee on Management, in response to the findings of the UN Mental Health and Wellbeing survey.

The Chief Executives Board Task Force on Sexual Harassment, established by the Secretary-General in November 2017 and chaired by the Under-Secretary-General for Management, Ms. Jan Beagle, is driving system-wide efforts to address sexual harassment in the workplace.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Jan Beagle of New Zealand as the next Under-Secretary-General for Management. She will succeed Yukio Takasu of Japan to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for his commitment and dedicated service to the Organization.
