The UNTFHS funded programme worked to promote comprehensive responses to internal displacement in conflict-affected areas of Colombia. The members of the Embera tribe, pictured in this photo, are part of a community based near the front lines of the conflict which faces the greatest risk of displacement.

By building the capacity of local organisations, the programme enabled IDP communities to engage with the relevant authorities responsible for their protection. Beneficiaries were offered direct legal, health and psychosocial counselling, as well as training in agricultural production and small business management.
