Targeting five priority countries in the South Pacific region (Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu), the programme stemmed the growing prevalence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS, and unwanted pregnancies by increasing awareness and access to reproductive health care.
