Employing a community-based bottom-up approach, the programme assisted vulnerable persons residing in neglected urban neighbourhoods in north-eastern Sri Lanka. Through vocational and other skills training workshops, community members engaged with local authorities to improve the overall welfare of their neighbourhoods.
