    In an effort to increase enrolment and improve the retention rates of children attending primary schools, the programme’s overall goal was to increase the quality of primary education.     The programme was set up to complement ongoing efforts to prevent and treat obstetric fistula in three high priority countries – Nigeria, Mali and Pakistan.
