To address the impact of tsetse and trypanosomosis (T&T) on livestock and agriculture in rural communities, the programme initiated the removal of the T&T from Western and South-western Ethiopia, expanded the practice of mixed farming, reduced overgrazing, and created an environment conducive for sustainable rural development.
