An older woman stands in a poppy field and is inspecting a poppy. The field around her appears to be very dry and there are trees in the backdrop.
In over 500 villages, over 2,000 hectares of land was reclaimed and converted into paddy fields, terraced fields, tea, or sugar cane plantations, leading to a 30 per cent increase in food production and improved income generation for over 30,000 ex-poppy farmers.
