In this episode of The Brian Lehrer Show, UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to the 2021 Food Systems Summit, Dr. Agnes Kalibata, talks about the aim of the Food Systems Summit and the tangible successes she sees coming from this historic event.

Dr. Kalibata discusses with radio talk show host Brian Lehrer how the Food System Summit engagement was developed to create space for all to be part of the table and share different views: “If all can come together, we can create global change. If people are ambitious enough and willing to commit there are resources, we can mobilize. This is a solvable problem that we can do in our lifetime.”

The UN Food Systems Summit served as a historic opportunity to empower all people to leverage the power of food systems to drive our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and get us back on track to achieve all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
