The Fourth High-Level Conference of Heads of Counter-Terrorism Agencies of Member States, convened under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, will be the flagship event of the Fourth Counter-Terrorism Week.

It will take place on 29-30 June at the United Nations in New York and bring together Member States, represented by Ministers and heads of national counter-terrorism agencies, regional organizations, civil society, victims of terrorism, women and youth-led organizations, academia, and the private sector.

The High-Level Conference will provide an opportunity to advance the implementation of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, strengthen international cooperation, and address evolving terrorism threats through inclusive, coordinated approaches.

UNGlobal Counter-Terrorism Strategy

The UN General Assembly adopted by consensus the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategyon 8 September 2006. The strategy is a unique global instrument to enhance national, regional and international efforts to counter terrorism. The General Assembly reviews the Strategy every two years, making it a living document attuned to Member States’ counter-terrorism priorities.
