The Committee Bureau held its annual meeting with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on 26 August 2025. During the meeting, the sides discussed the urgent need for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and stressed the imperative of protecting civilians, as well as the importance of rapid, sustained, and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid.
The Bureau further underlined the need to ensure accountability for violations of international law, concrete measures to give effect to the International Court of Justice’s July 2024 advisory opinion and to implement General Assembly resolution ES-10/24 with a view to ending the illegal Israeli occupation.
