Access to clean water remains a challenge for people in Gaza.

UNRWA colleagues are working tirelessly to provide and improve such access.

In November, our teams supplied 90,000 cubic metres of water to communities, nearly 30 per cent more than in the previous month.

Put another way, this volume of water would fill 36 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Tackling solid waste is a less known activity. It helps reduce the spread of disease within a population which has endured two years of war, displacement, and destruction.

Last month, our sanitation crews collected and disposed of 9,000 tons of solid waste.

These are real feats that underscore how UNRWA works on the ground in Gaza, helping communities survive and begin to recover.

Water supply and public sanitation in Palestine Refugee communities are also part of our public health services across the region.
