Israel’s constraints on UNRWA have caused the physical destruction of the Palestinians in Gaza through creating unlivable conditions of life according to the U.N. commission of inquiry.

UNRWA has food and other supplies banned and on stand by since last March. They are enough to cover the most critical needs of people in Gaza for the next three months.

Meanwhile, UNRWA remains the main provider of services including primary healthcare in Gaza.

I urge all Member States to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and facilitate the unfettered deployment of the United Nations humanitarian personnel and supplies – including UNRWA’s expertise.
