The General Secretariat of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation condemned the Israeli occupation forces storming of the headquarters of the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) in Ramallah, detaining its employees and injuring others, and using its headquarters to target, shoot and fire tear gas on Palestinian civilians.
The OIC called on the international community to intervene to hold Israel, the occupying power, accountable for its crimes and violations committed against Palestinian journalists and media institutions, and to respect international law and UN resolutions that guarantee the rights of journalists to perform their humanitarian and professional duties.
