The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health condition of the Palestinian prisoner Nasir Abu Hameed who is suffering from cancer. Like thousands of Palestinian prisoners, he is living under repressive measures and human rights deprivation, including the right to treatment.
The OIC renews its solidarity with and support for the Palestinian prisoners issue and at the same time calls on rights and international institutions to intervene immediately for the release of Abu Hameed and other prisoners, especially those who are ill, elderly, children and women and those on administrative detentions.
