SECRETARY-GENERAL LEAVES JORDAN FOR ISRAEL

AMMAN, 12 June — Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar, at the end of his visit to Jordan, left Amman today for Israel, the last stop on his five-day visit to the Middle East.
The Secretary-General was seen off at the airport by Jordan's Foreign Minister, Taher al Masri; Abdullah Salah, Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United Nations; various Jordanian officials; and representatives of the United Nations system in Jordan.
The Secretary-General's special plane took off from Amman airport at 9 a.m. (local time).
