UNITED NATIONS CONCILIATION COMMISSION FOR PALESTINE

COMMUNIQUE

Through a series of separate meetings, the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine carried on exchanges of views with the Arab and Israeli Delegations concerning the establishment of peace in the Near East.

The Conciliation Commission received successively the delegations of Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and the Hashemite Jordan Kingdom.

The exchanges of views will continue throughout this week with a view to establishing, by common agreement, a general basis for discussion of all questions outstanding between the two parties.

The conversations may take place either between the delegations and individual members of the Commission, or between the Commission and the separate delegations.
