Consideration of the Commission’s General Report (continued)
The General Committee took up consideration, paragraph by paragraph, of Chapter A dealing with the Commission's conciliation effort.
Paragraphs 1 to 10 were adopted subject to a number of minor changes and the deletion of the first sentence of paragraph 10 which was redundant.
A discussion ensued on paragraphs 11, 12 and 13 which, in the opinion of the members, did not bring out with sufficient clarity the manner in which the situation had developed.
The CHAIRMAN, Mr. ERALP (Turkey) and Mr. de NICOLAY (France) proposed certain changes so as to set forth the facts in a more logical order.
The Secretariat was requested to draw up the new text merging paragraphs 11, 12 and 13 and setting them forth as indicated during the exchanges of views.
The meeting rose at 11.15 a.m.
