Mubarak, in talks with Arab leaders
President Hosni Mubarak held a session of talks in Sharm El- Sheikh with visiting King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa on Arab support for Lebanon.
The two Arab leaders also discussed consultations held by President Mubarak with Arab leaders on regional developments.
The two leaders underlined their solidarity with Lebanon.
At their meeting earlier yesterday22/8/2006, they underscored the necessity of maintaining the Lebanese unity and territorial integrity.
"Mubarak and Hamad also confirmed their stance in supportingefforts for reconstructing Lebanon," said Presidential Spokesman Suleiman Awwad.
The Egyptian-Bahraini summit talks dwelt also on UNSCR 1701 and Arab contribution to rebuilding Lebanon.
Mubarak and Hamad also discussed the incessant Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people and the deterioration in the Palestinian territories.
The summit also discussed Iraq arid the Western Sudanese region of Darfur.
Egypt-Bahrain ties also topped the agenda of leader's talks.
At the same time,President Hosni Mubarak held a tete-a-tete meeting with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Borg al-Arab airport before winding up a two-day visit to Egypt.
President Mubarak and Sheikh Sabah resumed consultations that started between them on Monday21/8/2006 covering the latest developments in the region, especially on the Lebanese, Palestinian and Iraqi arenas and bilateral relations.
In addition to this Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation left Alexandria Tuesday22/8/2006 for London, winding up a two- day visit to Egypt during which he held talks with President Hosni Mubarak on bilateral relations and Middle East conditions.
President Mubarak led Egyptian officials seeing the Kuwaiti Emir off at Alexandria's Borg Al-Arab airport.
Furthermore, President Hosni Mubarak and leader of the Libyan Revolution Muamrnar Gaddafi reviewed Tuesday22/8/2006 over phone arrangements for the celebrations on the 7th anniversary of the Sirte declaration of the African Union.
The two leaders also discussed Arab developments including the situation in Lebanon, the Palestinian territories and Darfur.
In another side, President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday22/8/2006 received a phone call from Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Seniora and Saudi Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdel Aziz.
Telephone conversations dealt with the recent developments in Lebanon and Egypt's efforts to ease the sufferings of the Lebanese people.
