       UNCTAD/UNDP WORKSHOPS IN THE PALESTINIAN TERRITORY
                           POSTPONED
                                                
                                
     
     
     
     In view of recent developments in the Palestinian territory, the joint
UNCTAD/UNDP workshops on the emerging international trading system and its
implications for the Palestinian economy, have been postponed. The workshops were
scheduled to be held on 28-30 September and 1-2 October 1996 in the West Bank and
Gaza Strip, respectively (see note to  correspondents No 17). The workshops will be
re-scheduled at a later date.
