Saudi Arabia Pays Share to Support Palestinian Authority's Budget (13/2/2004)
The Official Spokesman of the Secretary General of the Arab League of States stated that KSA notified the General Secretariat of having transferred the September 2003 and January 2004 installments to support the Palestinian Authority. The action came in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques to continue providing support to the Palestinian Authority, as decided during Beirut summit-2003.
The spokesman hailed the Saudi move and described as an upheld fulfillment by the Saudi Government to serving the issues concerning the support of the Palestinian people. The spokesman stressed deepest gratitude and appreciation to the KSA for having committed to pay all required shares related to various Arab issues.
Finally, the spokesman expressed hope that other member states would fulfill their commitments, specifically what concerns the financial support to Palestinian people and Authority in view of the current critical situation.
