International Donor’s Conference for the Recovery and Reconstruction of the Nahr el Bared Camp and Surrounding Areas – Pledges – Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Cttee press release

European and Western delegates at the Donors’ Conference in Vienna have pledged about $120 million U.S Dollars for the reconstruction of Nahr el-Bared Camp(NBC) and its surrounding areas. The Arab States however, have committed to finance half of the reconstruction cost of the camp.

 
Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik declared that the result of this conference has conveyed an encouraging message to both the Palestinian refugees and the Lebanese people.

According to Government of Lebanon estimates, $445 million U.S dollars are needed to rebuild the NBC and its surrounding areas.
