France condemns Israeli decision to approve construction of 90 new homes in Breit El settlement – French MoFEA Press release/Non-UN document

February 14, 2013 — France condemns the Israeli government’s decision to approve the construction of 90 new homes in the settlement of Beit El, as well as the planning of 346 housing units initiated in settlements to the south of Bethlehem.

France calls on the Israeli authorities to reverse these illegal decisions which undermine trust and jeopardize the two-State solution.

Priority must now be given to the resumption of credible negotiations between the parties. France expects the next Israeli government to put an end to all policies that are contrary to this imperative.
