Expropriation of Land in the West Bank

01/09/2014 — The Government of Spain takes this opportunity to restate its well-known position regarding the illegality of the settlements, and has always condemned their establishment, maintenance and expansion.

Spain considers this decision to be particularly unfortunate given the current delicate state of Israeli-Palestinian relations, in which all sides should refrain from any action which could interfere with progress towards peace after the cease-fire in Gaza, agreed on 26 August.
