"Palestine Remains My Melody": Marwan Abado fund-raising concerts

In May 1950, UNRWA started its operations in the Middle East. To commemorate this 60th anniversary, Marwan Abado, an Austro-Palestinian artist and refugee, is holding five concerts to fundraise for UNRWA, starting this Sunday, 16 May, in Amman.

In 2005, Marwan Abado was named musician of the year in the category “World and Folk” in Austria. In 2006 his Album “KABILA” was selected the best album of the year in the same category.

Marwan Abado was awarded the Austrian Federal Medal for intercultural dialogue in November 2008.

The income from the ticket sales will be donated to UNRWA in support of education projects. UNRWA runs close to 700 schools in the Middle East and nearly 500,000 children attend classes.
