AMMAN, December 10 (Petra) — Countries hosting Palestinian refugees will convene today to adopt a unified position ahead of a conference with donors in Amman on Monday. Department of Palestinian Affairs Director General Wajih Azayzeh said the meeting will stress the UNRWA's key role in providing services to Palestinian refugees and the need to maintain the required level of health, education and social services. The Jordanian delegation is to demand an increase in its allocated budget in order to meet the refugees' needs, Azayzeh said. He noted that Jordan hosts 42 per cent of the total Palestinian refugees registered with UNRWA, with JD350 million spent annually to provide refugee camps with infrastructure and other economic and development projects.
