Telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu

Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mr Putin and Mr. Netanyahu had a detailed discussion on the tense situation in the Gaza Strip. The Russian leader urged the parties involved to exercise restraint and avoid any escalation of violence, whose victims include civilians, and to do everything possible to stabilise the situation.

In addition, the conversation touched on topical issues of bilateral relations.
