Following upon my letter of 4 December 1954 [S/3326] concerning the Israel vessel Bat Galim, I have the honor to inform you of the following:

The Egyptian authorities are taking the necessary steps to deliver to the Israel authorities on 1 January 1955 the crew of the Bat Galim through the Mixed Armistice Commission.

Furthermore, the Egyptian Government is prepared release the Bat Galim.

Moreover, as I have already announced in my letter 4 December, the Egyptian Government is still prepared to release the cargo.

I have the honor to request you to communicate is letter to all the members of the Security Council.
