Situation in Lebanon – Letter from Israel

LETTER DATED 18 JANUARY 1995 FROM THE PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE

OF ISRAEL TO THE UNITED NATIONS ADDRESSED TO THE

SECRETARY-GENERAL

I wish to refer to the letter addressed to you by the Permanent Representative of Lebanon dated 16 January 1995 (S/1995/45).  This letter reiterates allegations, indeed, repeats phraseology, contained in previous letters of the Permanent Representative of Lebanon.  In this regard, I would like to draw your attention to my letter addressed to you dated 1 August 1994 (S/1994/915), in which the position of Israel regarding the situation in southern Lebanon was outlined.

I should be grateful if you would have the present letter circulated as a document of the Security Council.
