CONSIDERATION OF ARRANGEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE ELECTION BY

THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL OF THREE MEMBERS

OF THE JOINT ECONOMIC BOARD FOR PALESTINE

POLAND, VENEZUELA: DRAFT RESOLUTION

THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL,

HAVING BEEN ENTRUSTED by the General Assembly in its resolution 181 (II) 29 November 1947 with the task of electing "three foreign members of Joint Economic Board" for Palestine,

TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION the necessity that this board be established soon as possible,

DECIDES:

1. To call upon all Member States to submit to the Secretary-General suitable candidates for the nomination of the three foreign members of Joint Economic Board,

2. To request the Secretary-General after consultation with the Palestine Commission as to the terms of service and necessary qualification to submit to the seventh session of the Economic and Social council the list of nominees for election as members of the Joint Economic board.
