  Reports of the Second Committee

  The Acting President : The General Assembly will now consider the reports of the Second Committee on agenda items 38, 46, 47 and its sub-items (a) to (d), 48, 49 and its sub-items (a) to (c) and (e) to (g), 50, 51 and its sub-items (a) to (e), 52 and its sub-items (a) and (b), 53 and its sub-items (a) and (b), 54, 110 and 119.

  I request the Rapporteur of the Second Committee, Mr. Awsan Al-Aud of Yemen, to introduce in one intervention the reports of the Second Committee.

 Mr. Al-Aud (Yemen) (Rapporteur of the Second Committee): I have the honour to present for the Assembly’s consideration the following reports of the Second Committee on the agenda items allocated to it by the General Assembly at its sixty-third session. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the facilitators who persevered in the negotiations on the Committee’s draft resolutions.

  Under agenda item 38, entitled “Permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and of the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources”, the Committee recommends, in paragraph 11 of document A/63/410, the adoption of one draft resolution.

  The draft resolution was adopted by 164 votes to 8, with 5 abstentions (resolution 63/201).

  The Acting President : May I take it that it is the wish of the General Assembly to conclude its consideration of agenda item 38?
