Mideast situation/Palestine question – Request for SecCo meeting – Letter from Egypt

Letter dated 19 April 2004 from the Permanent Representative of Egypt to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council 

In my capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for the month of April 2004, and on the behalf of the States members of the League of Arab States, I have the honour to request the holding of an immediate meeting of the Security Council to consider Israel’s grave violations of international humanitarian law, the most recent of which is the extrajudicial execution of Dr. Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi in Gaza, and the escalation of its military attacks against the Palestinian people and their leadership, and to take the necessary measures in this regard.
