Identical letters dated 29 August 2012 from the Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council
Today the people of Israel woke up to another exploding rocket. It was fired into their community by terrorists in Gaza.
Another day. Another rocket. Not one word from the Security Council.
The pattern is disturbing. Make no mistake: silence today could bring serious consequences tomorrow.
I should be grateful if you would have the present letter circulated as a document of the Security Council.
