Letter dated 7 January 2004 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General
On instructions from my Government, I have the honour to transmit to you herewith a general statistical table showing the number of Israeli violations committed from the month of May 2000 to the end of 2003, as well as a statistical table showing the number of Israeli violations committed during the month of December 2003 (see annex).
The nature and number of these repeated, unjustified and inexcusable Israeli violations and acts of aggression against Lebanon’s sovereignty confirm Israel’s premeditated intention to threaten and provoke and to disrupt security and stability in order to serve its aggressive, expansionist objectives throughout the region.
In drawing your attention to the gravity and possible consequences of these acts of aggression, I request that this letter of complaint be circulated as a document of the General Assembly, under agenda item 37, and of the Security Council.
(Signed) Hisam Diyab
Chargé d’affaires a.i.
