On instructions from my Government, and following my previous letters, I have the honour to inform you of a series of Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty which occurred on 14 January 2001:

This new series of Israeli violations, which follows upon previous violations, constitutes a flagrant violation of Security Council resolution 425 (1978) and of the sovereignty of Lebanon, and is a threat to stability in the region.
I should be grateful if you would have this letter circulated as a document of the General Assembly at its fifty-fifth session, under agenda item 40, and of the Security Council.
