On 27 February 2024 at UN Headquarters, the Division for Palestinian Rights (DPR) held its annual Briefing for New Delegates on the General Assembly mandate and work of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People. The Committee Chair, Amb. Cheikh Niang opened the briefing, which was attended by 15 UN delegates. The Division of Palestinian Rights explained the annual programme of work of the Committee, its political engagement, its advocacy and social media outreach, capacity development and international conferences and meetings. The Department of Global Communications’ Special Information Programme on the Question of Palestine briefed on their mandate and Ambassador Feda Abdelhady, Deputy Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine provided closing remarks urging support to the work of the Committee
