United Nations Seminar on Assistance to the Palestinian People

“Fostering active international solidarity with the Palestinians, solidifying the economic underpinnings of an independent State.”

The Seminar will review the socio-economic and humanitarian impact of the Israeli occupation. It will look at the financial, developmental, and environmental challenges and long-term strategies of the State of Palestine for sustainable economic development and growth. Finally, the Seminar will also address the role of the international and regional donor community in mobilizing and coordinating assistance in view of promoting sustainability and self-reliance.

Participants in the Seminar will include prominent international experts, representatives of UN Members and Observers, representatives of the UN system and other intergovernmental organizations, members of the academic community, and others. The official languages of the Seminar will be Arabic, English, and French.
