Israel – Violence perpetrated by Israeli settlers against members of the press (March 7, 2014)

France condemns the attack perpetrated by Israeli settlers on March 7 in the West Bank against an Agence France-Presse photographer while he was carrying out his work.

France reaffirms its attachment and commitment in international forums to the protection of the freedom of expression and information. Throughout the world, journalists must be able to carry out their work freely.

We call on the Israeli authorities to shed full light on this incident and to prosecute those responsible.
