About the UN Procurement Division (UNPD)

PD Mission Statement
The Procurement Division of the United Nations Secretariat is a key element of the United Nations global supply chain. We provide responsive, effective, and quality procurement services and expert business advice to UN Headquarters, peacekeeping missions, offices away from Headquarters, regional commissions, tribunals, and other UN organizations, while achieving best value for money and ensuring a competitive, fair and transparent process in accordance with established regulations, rules and procedures
Our Objectives
We aim at providing best value for money in the timely delivery of goods and services to a) execute the Organization’s supply chain management strategy and support its mandates; and b) enable our clients to carry out their missions and achieve their objectives via a fair and transparent commercial partnership between the Organization and our vendors.
Our Clients
Our clients come from a range of UN Headquarters Departments such as the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT), the Department of Peace Operations (DPO), the Department of Global Communications (DGC), etc., peacekeeping missions, offices away from Headquarters (OAHs) and other UN organizations seeking procurement support services.
Our Vendors
We work with vendors of all sizes from all over the world to deliver goods and services around the globe. Together with the Enabling and Outreach Service, we seek to drive economic and social changes through increasing vendor diversification, specially from developing countries and countries with economies in transition, women-owned businesses and disability inclusive vendors and by providing training and capacity building to disadvantage groups. We work with our contracted vendors to ensure a sustainable and diverse supply chain to meet the Sustainable development Goals
