Air violations of the Blue Line:

PRSG reiterates call for halt to overflights

Beirut, 29 November 2001 (UN Information Centre) – The Personal Representative of the Secretary-General for Southern Lebanon (PRSG), Mr. Staffan de Mistura, has noted with concern that a further three air violations, consisting of 3 Israeli jets, took place across the Blue Line and into Lebanese airspace on 28 November.

In this connection, the PRSG reiterates his call upon the Israeli authorities to cease such violations and to fully respect the Blue Line.
