Air violations of the Blue Line:

PRSG calls on Israeli authorities to halt violations

Beirut, 5 November 2001 (UN Information Centre). Unfortunately, air violations of the Blue Line and of Lebanese airspace have continued to take place.

The Personal Representative of the Secretary-General for southern Lebanon (PRSG), Mr. Staffan de Mistura, has noted with concern that three air violations, consisting of 3 Israeli aircraft, took place across the Blue Line on Sunday, 4 November.

In this connection, the PRSG reiterates, again, his call on the Israeli authorities to cease such actions and to fully respect the Blue Line.
