Israeli air violations of the Blue Line

PRSG repeats call for cessation of overflights

Beirut, 13 December 2001 (UN Information Centre) – The Personal Representative of the Secretary-General for southern Lebanon (PRSG), Mr. Staffan de Mistura, has noted with great concern that 9 Israeli air violations, consisting of 11 jets and 18 drones, took place yesterday across the Blue Line and into Lebanese airspace.

Sonic booms were also heard in the capital Beirut.

The PRSG calls again on the Israeli authorities to halt such air violations across the Blue Line.
