Annan To Meet with Principals of the Quartet

24 September — Secretary-General Kofi Annan will meet with the other principals of the Quartet, which comprises the United Nations, the United States, Russia and the European Union, at UN Headquarters on Friday, starting at 9:45 a.m. Also, the Secretary-General is opening a high-level meeting on Afghanistan, including Afghan President Hamid Karzai, this afternoon, and he will convene a high-level meeting of African leaders on the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Thursday.
