OIC Secretary-General condemns Israeli massacres in Gaza and Jenin – OIC Press release/Non UN document

The OIC secretary-general condemns the Israeli massacres in Gaza and Jenin

The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, condemned the two abhorrent Israeli massacres perpetrated in Beit Hanun in Gaza Strip and Yamun village in the occupied West Bank, which caused the death of over twenty Palestinian civilians, most of them children. This is a reaffirmation of Israel’s disregard for the international law, its persistence in committing war crimes, and its violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which requires urgent international action to stop these massacres and violations.

Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu requested the members of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary-General to act diligently to put an end to the Israeli aggression and to take the necessary measures to guarantee the protection of the Palestinian people from Israel’s oppression and State terrorism practiced against Palestinian civilians.
