"Seige and Mental Health… Walls and Bridges" Conference on October 27th and 28th, 2008
Gaza Community Mental Health Programme is organizing a conference, “Siege and Mental Health… Walls and Bridges”, with the support of the World Health Organization funded by the European Commission. The conference will tackle the effect of the siege on mental health in Gaza and will address the following themes: 1- Siege and mental health 2- Women, Children and family 3- Prisoners 4- Public Health 5- Culture, Democracy and Civil Society and 6- International Law and Human Rights. The conference will open with the modern contemporary art exhibition “Colour Siege”. Participants are also invited to tour various sites impacted by the siege including; Refugee camps, hospitals and factories.
