France calls on the Israel authorities to lift the blockade on the territory (November 17, 2008)
France is very concerned about the grave humanitarian situation of civilians in Gaza. We call on the Israel authorities to lift the blockade on the territory by reopening the crossing points so as to permit shipments of fuel and humanitarian goods to resume.
We also call on all the parties to comply in full with the truce reached in June. All acts of violence must stop immediate, particularly rocket fire from Gaza.
